Wanted to tried this place purely because of the name and wow I was impressed. The Mongolian Beef was amazing the sauce was so delicious. I also had the honey chicken and fried rice which was also just as good. The food is cooked on order so it is super fresh and delicious. A beautiful family run restaurant.

Although I've always jested with friends about eating at the A Chinese Restaurant, the food is really spectacular. I had the sweet sour pork and the execution was peeerfect. The sauce was a bright rose orange with just the right amount of sour and sweet. The batter was thin and crispy and the pork was tender. The ingredients are fresh too.Parking is difficult. The closest parking is across Montague road at the Queensland theatre. Used to be free but I think it's metered parking. The street parking just outside the restaurant on bouquet St has only 3 car spaces of half hour parking, usually already taken up.Venue itself is clean but small and cloistered. But I'm ok with that because I rather eat my food freshly cooked than from a takeaway scenario.

I ordered the Corn Chicken Soup and Chicken Fried Rice, and both dishes were absolutely delicious! The soup was hearty and flavorful, while the Fried Rice was simply the best I’ve had—perfectly cooked with an amazing balance of flavors. Highly recommend this place, especially for the Chicken Fried Rice. A must-try.

I came across this place during my tour of Brisbane, and I thought “what an inconspicuous name for a restaurant, I should check this out.”By internet logic, the more suspicious looking the Chinese restaurant, the more amazing the food. This place was no exception. I ordered some ho fun noodles with beef. Besides the carrots, there was a generous portion of tender beef pieces. Noodles have good chew, too.Prices were also fairly reasonable.Came here as a light joke, left a happy customer. Will go again for another dish next time.

This is the best Chinese food I’ve had in decades!! When I was a kid, Mum used to take us to a really good Chinese takeaway and that has become the high bar for Chinese food for me.This place equals that traditional 1980’s Chinese takeaway joint.Everything I’ve had off the menu has been fresh, succulent and tasty.Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We have had the honey chicken from here several times and it is soo good. Very generous serve. Last night we decided to add another dish and asked the owner what was his favourite. He said the prawns. OMG it was amazing. The prawns were perfectly cooked and not the usual little prawns but fresh large king prawns. There was a really generous number of prawns in the dish. This will definitely be a must have for us in future. We live close by so always get takeaway as it is an easy walk over the bridge. Such a lovely family business and well worth trying if you live in South Brisbane area, or any area as it is worth the trip.
